Herbst Research, Inc. was founded in 1995 to develop methods and technologies for research and clinical applications of electric fields effects on living systems, and especially on tissue healing and regeneration. Today, we are an incubator of ideas for challenging biomedical applications, creating high tech solutions with commercial potential through strategic partnerships.

Our R&D efforts have enabled us to develop technology solutions applicable to:

Additional areas of interest include tissue engineering combined with electrical stimulation and personalized medicine.

Herbst Research has received $5.5 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is developing various platform technologies for electrical stimulation, biomedical instrumentation and precision control. A sister company, Herbst Technologies, Inc. has a non-exclusive license to manufacture and market Herbst Research’s Digital Timing Platform ^TM.

Herbst Research has extensive experience in interdisciplinary research and has led or collaborated on several projects involving biomedical engineering, electronic design, image analysis, tissue culture work, animal studies, and various evaluation methods. In addition to our highly-skilled in-house team, we have built strong relationships with a significant number of consultants and collaborators.
